This is a very lousy humidifier. It is so loud, that I can hear it in the other room, all the way across the hall. I don't understand how Vicks can call this Whisper Quiet. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

While I think this product works well enough that I would recommend it to a friend, its single flaw is that it is too noisy to keep in a bedroom when one is trying to sleep. Technically, it is whisper quiet as advertised, but actual whispering, as a constant, ongoing activity is not something one would find conducive to slumber except in those cases where a droning white-noise may be somniferous to some people. I would highly recommend this product for any aurally impaired person who desires a humidifier.
