I buy this product in my local store where it costs the same as the regular chemical-laden products. I purchased it thinking that it wouldn't work quite as well, but I was willing to forgo Cascade's cleaning power to use a safer product. However, I am amazed with the results. It has gotten everything clean - and I'm not the type to rinse everything before putting it into my dishwasher. I do have a water softener, so I'm not sure how this works in hard water. (To be fair though, I had hard water in my last home and Cascade didn't always cut it then either.) I love this and I'm definitely not going to be going back.

This detergent truly cleans dishes and glasses with no filmy residues and no odors. Some detergents leave a fragrance behind on plastic foodware - not this one. It is eco-friendly and effective. I sampled many brands and finally settled on this one as being very effective.

I like this product - especially what it stands for in being highly environmentally friendly. It's as good as other brands I've tried except that my glassware is somewhat streaky when it comes out after the drying cycle. I can use a spot-free rinse aid, but prefer not to and was hoping that this would help solve the spotting problem.

Recently, I went to using mostly glass in the kitchen. I've been trying to use fewer chemicals to clean and this is definitely the dishwasher detergent I will be using. Its scent free and cleans very well. It's a little more expensive - but worth it !

My favorite dish powder. Used to buy it at my local [...], but they discontinued it. A bit more expensive here, but worth it. Works great, get off the stuck on food. Unscented for people who are sensitive to scents or chemicals. Rinses clean.

This detergent is the best one out there if you want something that is safe for the environment and your family. I will say that you usually do have to use a little bit more than you would of a normal detergent (but not a lot more). The reason for this is that it's free of phosphates.

I'm ok with my glasses and plates not having a mirror finish, so I don't buy the Rinse Aid, but if you want your plates to double as disco balls on the weekends, by all means buy the rinse aid too.
