I use these to clean the kitchen, bathroom, mirrors, as well as using for napkins in a pinch. I also use them wet to wipe down our stovetop grill which gets pretty grimey and they hold up just fine. They do have a rough texture but it's not like it's toilet paper. If anything I find it helps rub out tough spots on the stove. It's a small con to many pros!

I'm all for saving the planet, but these paper towels are lousy. Typically purchase Bounty but decided to try something new. The price was right and it can't hurt to be green. Will not buy again. Very flimsy and rough texture. Doesn't pick up moisture worth a darn. Look elsewhere until they refine the product. There is a reason it is inexpensive.

First, I have to say I disagree with the reviews which say those towels stink (perhaps there was some issue with that particular package?) and feel like sandpaper.
Sure, those are not your softest paper towels. But they aren't that bad, and I do use them for a variety of uses from cleaning to substituting napkins when I need it.

Further, they are pretty sturdy (which often isn't the case with softer ones), so they are definitely a good choice for a variety of uses and at a good value.

These absolutely do the trick for us. They are quite functional, & I like that they don't have some quirky design on them.
We especially like that they are "select-a-size," & are sturdy for tough jobs.

This is the best of the recycled paper towels. Each sheet lasts a long time and can stand being rinsed out and reused for multiple jobs. I like the sheet size as well--I feel like I use fewer sheets to get the same job done.

It may be a bit harsh when dry, but not so wet. All in all, a good value.

This product works 10x better than most recycled paper towels. I get a ton of use out of one sheet, it rinses well and keeps going. It may be a tad rough when dry, but not so when wet and it's a good value.

Tried it with the first-time order deal. It was a decent price, but I can get 100% recycled for cheaper usually. It feels nice but we like to be environmentally conscious, so it probably wouldn't be our first choice in the future.

I have used all major brands and this is without any doubt the worst. With Brawny or Bounty you can use them to wipe your mouth, but not this stuff. It feels like sandpaper.

The scratchiest paper towel I've ever felt. I will never buy mainstream brand's attempts at "eco-friendly" products again.

These paper towels stink. The only good thing about them is that they are good for the environment. A sheet of notebook paper would be similar to the feel of them. I like the "select a size" feature, but it's only good when the paper towel is actually absorbent. Sorry Scott towels, but I will never purchase you again.

Great paper towel. Its texture makes it very strong and absorbant, but be aware it doesn't feel really soft like some. It still feels OK, but a little on the harsher side. It is very absorbant and extremely strong. Functions equally well when wet (I wet one down to wipe my baby and toddler's face & hands after eating and the paper towel stays intact). Its very best feature (aside from the obvious one of being eco-friendly) is the excellent sheet size. The select-a-sheet size is not too skimpy. It is a somewhere between a half-size and a full size standard paper towel. So for everyday purposes one select-a-sheet size at a time is plenty, I find.

In summary, I'd say that if you're wanting really great performance, this product will live up to your expectations. But if you're wanting a decorative look or a luxurious softness this may not be the one for you.
