The Basil scent is so delicious, it makes me happy everytime I wash my hands. Love that it is in a pouch that reduces platic and the spout makes it easy to pour into decrative soap dispensers without spilling and making a mess.

I have tried several scents in the Mrs. Meyer's handsoap line. This is by far the best and my husband agrees. The lemon verbena is so overpowering and smells like old lady perfume. The lavender is okay but it is way too strong. I can't get enough of the basil scent, which, surprisingly, isn't too "herby".

We've switched to Mrs. Meyers for a number of items. We like the smell of the basil and skip the others (except the kids' version). The other soap we use is Method.
We use some of the cleaning products, as well. Less harsh, less smell overall.

I was looking for a fresh, non-flowery smelling hand soap and picked this one over Method's Cucumber. Bad choice.It smells more like that old lady perfume that gives me a headache than any smell in nature. Aside from the smell, the performance of the soap is fine... it doesn't make a big lather, but works to disinfect. Not impressive overall.
