Ever since my brother-in-law, a plumber, commented on our toilet paper... that double-ply is not so good for septic systems... I looked for a good quality single-ply toilet paper. I found Charmin Basic, and we rarely buy anything else! It's got a very comfortable strength and texture, good price, yet is single-ply. The family plumber approves!

Charmin Basic is a great value for your dollar and yet a very reliable product. It is soft and thick and does not shred. You need fewer sheets and the sheets are a nice size (4.27 " x 4.0").
The only situation needed now is to get the kids to use fewer sheets as they were used to Scott 1000 sheets.
If you have used Scott 1000's then each roll of Charmin Basic Big Roll if used properly should last about the same amount of time due to its thickness.
