We use Charlie's soap with all of our laundry (we are a family of five) and will begin using it with our cloth diapers. It is great stuff, cleans well and you only need a little bit (scoop included) to get a whole load cleaned. We have a king size HE front loader and never have any issues with getting our laundry cleaned, even when I have a full load of towels or blankets. There is no scent, but when you sniff socks and there is no smell, that means clean to me. We also have hard water and don't run into issues... sometimes our clothes are a little stiff, but not abrasive (we do not use dryer sheets or fabric softner). We have even noticed an improvement on my husbands sensitive skin.

I originally bought this detergent to wash cloth diapers for the coming baby and decided to give it a test run on everything I could find first...I have never been so happy with any cleaning product! My husband recently got home from a tour in Afghanistan, so when I looked at him and said "give me the worst laundry you have" he pulled out the body armor that hasn't been washed since before his previous deployment. To our surprise, the detergent removed EVERY stain (sweat, grease and general grime) as well as the putrid deployment smell and all without fading. I have washed most of his military gear multiple times without being able to achieve these results! The best part...It is still gentle enough to was my down comforters in! Fantastic product!

I came across Charlie's Soap when researching what to best clean our cloth diapers with. This soap came highly recommended for getting out stains, cleaning without chemicals or residues that would harm my baby, and for use in front loading washing machines. Bingo! That's what I needed. I followed the directions of running the machine a couple times with the powder, to rinse away liquid detergent residue. Then I washed my first load of clothes with it, to see how it worked. It cleaned everything beautifully and left it clean smelling (i.e. free from foul odors), not fragrant and perfumey smelling. There are times that some fabrics come out not feeling as soft as they used to, but nothing too strikingly bad. I'd rather have truly clean clothes that are free of odor, bacteria, and harmful chemicals. I have yet to use it with our cloth diapers as I haven't had the courage to start using those yet, but it works like a charm for all the rest of our laundry!

This is just GREAT laundry detergent! You use a small amount and it cleans a lot. My clothes come out cleaner than they ever have and smell simply clean (not a scent, you can add scent in the dryer with a dryer sheet if u prefer). I use this for all of my laundry, adults and kids. Plus it's good for the environment.

Excellent product, it leaves a light clean scent in baby clothing, it's easy to use, I like combining it with arm and hammer washing soda for best results :)

So far so good with this stuff! Takes up little space on my washing machine, and doesn't take much to get a load clean! Very happy with this purchase and at such a great price!

This is by far my favorite laundry soap. I bought my last container in Feb 2011. I have yet to finish it because it takes so little for one load of laundry. I like too that it has no chemicals and leaves no residue on clothes. Perfect for the cloth diapers that are in my near future as well.

I washed a load of clothes full of items that had been worn/washed multiple times. I used the correct amount of detergent and almost always wash with only cold water. Colors ran and faded. One pair of my son's underwear- white trimmed with red, is now pink trimmed with red. These had been washed dozens of times before. I'm disappointed and will only use this powder on white loads from now on because I can't afford to fade all our clothes.

This is the BEST laundry soap I have ever used. It is GREAT for cloth diapers...I dont think I will ever use any other soap!

I have used Charlie's Soap for the last 3 years. My daughter had really sensitive skin when she was a newborn and all of the infant and sensitive skin detergents still caused her problems. Even her diapers caused her problems. Once we used Charlie's Soap on her clothes her skin problems cleared up. My younger son was in cloth diapers for this first year and we washed them exclusively in Charlie's Soap. He almost never had a diaper rash and we never had detergent buildup on the diapers. It rinses out completely and leaves clothes soft, fresh smelling, and wonderful to wear. A little bit goes a long way, so you don't have to buy huge boxes of detergent anymore!
