I purchased Almay's Smart Shade Anti-Aging Concealer because I have some issues with redness around my nose (due to allergies) and some discoloration on my chin due to acne. It's subtle, but enough discoloration that I've been searching for a "magic" product to give my skin a nice, even complexion. I was intrigued by the idea of a Smart Shade, so I tried this product and was completely disappointed. The concealer gave my skin a dry, ashen look and, although I barely put any product on, it instantly sought out the few lines I have on my face, like my smile lines, and settled into them, making them more pronounced. It didn't really conceal my redness or acne discoloration. It felt very "powdery" and dry. I ended up washing my face and going bare and natural. I wish I could have returned the product to the drugstore where I bought it. (I did find my "magic" product... Origins VitaZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer, a "smart" shade moisturizer that gives a lovely complexion and is well worth the extra money.)
